In those types of wool it’s also categorize accordingly like the wool it is composed of different type of wool yarn like lamb’s wool, merino wool, pure new wool/virgin wool, shetland wool, Icelandic wool, and washable wool. With novelty it includes ribbon, boucle, chenille, thick-thin, railroad ribbon, and faux fur. With specialty it has tweed, heather, marled, and variegated.

 

Aside from those mentioned above there are also other unusual types of yarns that are also sold in the market like the camel wool, muskox, sugar cane, seaweed, and your pets wool like cats and dogs wool. You can use any of these types of yarn as you wish to as long as it’s the right type of yarn that you want for your project. Do you see the benefits of learning how to knit? Making a yarn beenie

Start by choosing a knitting needle and yarn. There is a wide variety to choose from. So, you selection will basic depend on your preference. Thicker yarn works better. When you get the yarn, check the needle size recommendation on the label. Using the correct knitting needle increases the comfort and warm gauge of the beanie.

Define your own gauge. Cast on 10 stitches and weave 10 rows. Measure the piece and determine the number of rows and stitches per inch you can produce with your needle and yarn. Once you are done, unravel your knitting.

Take head measurements. This can be done with by using a tape measure to determine the circumference of the wearers head. Estimate the number of stitches you will need in order to make a beanie that is wide enough to fit. Also take measurements from the crown of the head to the ear.

Knit a nice stretchy band. Once you are through, knit the crown of the beanie. Ensure that it covers the whole length according to the crown to ear measurements. Sew the two sides of the beanie together and thread more yarn at the top edge until there is no hole left and, finally, knot the yarn.
